Terms of Use
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Fledge is new and still changing. We provide it with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot promise it will always be available or that what its AI writes will be accurate.
Fledge uses AI models that can get things wrong. Cover letters, tailored CVs, interview questions, screening answers, and any other generated content may contain inaccuracies, hallucinated facts, or framings that misrepresent your experience. It is your responsibility to read, verify, and correct every piece of generated content before you send it to an employer or rely on it for any application or interview.
Employers make their own decisions. We are not responsible for the outcome of any application, interview or hiring decision.
Who we are
Fledge is run by Apply Logic Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 08051086), registered office 9 Ridgeway, East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH19 4BW. In these terms, "we" and "us" means Apply Logic Ltd, and "you" means the person using Fledge. You can reach us at .
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Fledge. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.
Your account
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address or phone. You're responsible for keeping access to that inbox or phone secure, and, if you connect Gmail to send applications, to that Gmail account too, since it sends as you. Don't share access. If you suspect unauthorised use, contact .
Subscription and payment
You can set up Fledge and try it without a subscription, with Fledge credit or your own AI key (see below): your first jobs search is free. After that, a plan keeps your agents working. There are two: one that comes with credit every month, and a cheaper one for students on their own AI key, which includes no credit. Some features, such as running your agents automatically every day, come only with a plan. The current plans, their price and its billing interval are shown on the plan page before you subscribe and in Settings → Payments afterwards. Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies.
- It renews automatically. Payment is taken at the start of each billing period using the payment method you authorised, until you cancel. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your card details.
- You can cancel at any time, from Settings → Payments, or by emailing . There is no notice period and no cancellation fee.
- Cancelling does not cut you off immediately. You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Apart from the 14-day right to cancel below, we do not refund the unused part of a period you cancel partway through, and we do not charge you again after you cancel.
- When that period ends, the service stops. Your agents stop running, any scheduled daily run is switched off, and you are returned to the plan page. Your data (CV, jobs, drafts, applications) is kept and is there again if you subscribe later. See the Privacy Policy for how long we keep it and how to have it deleted.
- If a renewal payment fails, your access ends when the period you have already paid for ends. Our payment provider tries again at the next billing date, and the subscription is cancelled after repeated failures. You can subscribe again at any time.
- If we raise the price, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, and you can cancel before it is charged.
None of this affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law. If you think you have been charged in error, email and we will look into it.
Your right to cancel
As a consumer, you have 14 days to cancel a paid subscription or a credit top-up without giving a reason. The 14 days start on the day you subscribe or buy the top-up.
- We start straight away only if you ask us to. Before you pay, you tick a box asking for your subscription or credit to start immediately, and we keep a record of that.
- If you cancel within the 14 days, we refund what you paid, less a fair amount for what you have already had: for a subscription, the part of the billing period up to the day you tell us; for a top-up, the credit you have already spent.
- To cancel, email within the 14 days saying you want to cancel. You do not have to use any particular form of words. Cancelling renewal in Settings stops future payments, but to get money back within the 14 days, please email us as well.
- We refund within 14 days of you telling us, to the payment method you used, at no cost to you.
- A free plan has nothing to refund; you can simply stop using it.
Paying for AI: your own key or Fledge credit
Your agents need an AI model to run, and you choose who pays for it. Either you connect an API key from Anthropic or OpenAI and every agent runs on that account, or, where we offer it, you use Fledge credit and they run on ours. You can switch between the two in Settings: to your own key once it is connected and working, and while your Fledge credit balance is above zero. Without either, nothing runs: no job sourcing, no matching, no drafting, no interview prep.
Fledge credit. Each piece of agent work is charged to your credit balance.
- Free to start: reading your first CV is free, with a daily limit on attempts, and if you use Fledge credit and have never had any, your first search is free too. The free search is limited in scope, as shown before you start it, and does not look for companies to approach. After it, new agent work needs credit.
- Included credit: a free plan from a promo code may come with a one-off welcome credit, available for a limited time. A paid plan comes with credit at the start of each billing period, which replaces any included credit left unspent from the period before: it does not roll over. The amounts and how long welcome credit lasts are shown on the plan page and in Settings. Included credit has no cash value and cannot be refunded.
- Top-ups: you can buy credit from Settings, in the amounts offered there. VAT is added on top, so the price you pay is shown with VAT before you pay, and the amount credited is the amount you chose. Top-ups are paid through our payment provider, are added to your balance once the payment is confirmed, and come with an emailed receipt.
- Purchased credit (from top-ups) never expires, so it carries over from month to month, and is spent only after any included credit. Apart from the 14-day right to cancel above, it is not refundable, and any left when you delete your account is lost with it.
- Running out: work an agent has already started is allowed to finish, which can take your balance below zero. While your balance is zero or less, no new agent work starts, including scheduled runs, until you top up or receive new included credit. Once you have had credit, you can switch to your own key only while your balance is above zero. A top-up pays off a negative balance first.
- A daily spending limit applies on Fledge credit, over a rolling window. When your charges in that window reach it, agents stop making calls, even part way through a piece of work, and start again as older charges fall out of the window.
- Changes to what agent work costs: if we change how much credit agent work uses in a way that makes it more expensive for you, we will email you at least 30 days before the change applies, so you can spend your credit or switch to your own key first. Changes that make it cheaper apply straight away.
- Corrections: we may add credit to your balance or remove credit from it to put right a mistake, with the reason shown in your usage history in Settings.
Your own key. The rest of this section applies when your agents run on your own provider account.
- A plan is needed after your free search. On your own key, your first jobs search is free (limited in scope, as shown before you start it). After it, new agent work needs a plan, such as the own-key plan.
- Your provider bills you directly, at their rates, for what your agents use. That charge is separate from your Fledge subscription, is not collected by us, and is not marked up by us. What you spend depends on how much you use Fledge, and we cannot promise a figure.
- Your agreement for that usage is with the provider, under their terms and their privacy policy. We are not a party to it. Content your agents send is processed by them.
- A daily spending limit applies per account as a safety net, over a rolling window. When it is reached, the agents stop making calls rather than continuing to spend, and start again as older spending falls out of that window.
- You control the key. It is encrypted at rest, used only to make calls on your behalf, and you can remove it from Settings at any time, which stops the agents immediately.
- If your key is missing, invalid or out of credit, the affected agents stop and say so. That is not a fault in the service and does not entitle you to a refund of your subscription.
Voyage is optional. It powers one thing, the ranking that scores jobs against your CV, and it is only relevant if you run your agents on Anthropic, which has no embedding model of its own. If you run on OpenAI, ranking uses the OpenAI key you have already connected and you need no Voyage account at all. Without either, everything else still works and your jobs simply arrive unranked.
What you can do
- Use the service for your own job search.
- Generate tailored cover letters, CVs, screening answers and interview-prep material, and edit your cover letters and CVs and download them as PDFs.
- Send applications from your own Gmail (if you connect it) or via the mailto fallback.
What you can't do
- Misrepresent yourself to employers, for example by claiming experience, qualifications, or grades you don't have, whether or not the AI suggested it.
- Use the service to apply on behalf of someone else without their consent.
- Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the service.
- Use the service for any illegal purpose, including misrepresentation, fraud, or harassment.
- Upload content you don't have the right to upload (e.g. someone else's CV without permission).
AI-generated content: your responsibility
Fledge calls third-party AI models to draft cover letters, tailor CVs, suggest interview answers, and write screening-question answers. These models:
- May invent facts ("hallucinate"), including projects, experiences, certifications, or grades you don't have.
- May misinterpret your CV, the job description, or the company you're applying to.
- May produce content that's outdated, biased, or simply wrong.
Before you send anything to an employer, read it carefully. Correct anything inaccurate. Remove anything you didn't actually do. Submitting fabricated experience to an employer is your decision and your responsibility, not ours.
We've designed the AI prompts to discourage fabrication, but no prompt is perfect.
Email sending
When you click "Send via Gmail", we send a messagefrom your own Gmail account using OAuth tokens you've granted us. The recipient sees the email as coming from you. You are the legal sender of every such message and remain responsible for its content.
Alternatively, you can use the mailto fallback: your mail client opens with the draft pre-filled, and you click Send yourself.
No employment outcome guarantee
Using Fledge does not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment. We make no claim about how many applications succeed or fail.
Service availability
We work to keep Fledge running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example for maintenance, to fix a problem, or because a service we depend on is down. Where we can, we tell you in advance. We may improve and change features over time, but not in a way that takes away the main things you are paying for during a period you have already paid for.
If we decide to close Fledge, we will email you at least 30 days before, and refund the unused part of any period you have already paid for and any unspent purchased credit. If we suspend the service for more than a short time for reasons that are not your breach of these terms, we will refund the unused part of that period.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Unless the breach is serious or unlawful, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
Our responsibility to you
What the law gives you. We must provide the service with reasonable care and skill and as we describe it. If we do not, you are entitled to ask us to put it right or, if we cannot, to a price reduction or refund. Nothing in these terms takes away those rights. Citizens Advice can explain them.
What we are responsible for. If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that. Loss is foreseeable if it was obvious it would happen, or if we both knew it might happen when you signed up.
What we are not responsible for.
- Loss that was not foreseeable, or that you could have avoided by checking content before sending it, as these terms ask.
- Decisions employers make about your applications.
- Business losses. Fledge is for your own personal job search.
- What your own AI provider charges you. Those calls are made on your own account, under your agreement with Anthropic, OpenAI or Voyage; we never receive that money. The daily spending limit is a safety net, not a guarantee, so keep an eye on your provider dashboard too.
Limit. Apart from the cases below, our total responsibility to you is limited to the greater of £250 or what you have paid us (subscription and top-ups) in the 12 months before the claim.
What we never limit. Our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for breaking your rights as a consumer that the law does not allow us to limit, and for failing to protect your personal data as data protection law requires.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves, for example to reflect new features or changes in the law. If a change is to your disadvantage, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not want to accept it, you can cancel before then and we will refund the unused part of any period you have already paid for and, on request, any unspent purchased credit. Other changes, such as clearer wording, take effect when we publish them here.
Complaints and governing law
If something goes wrong, please email first, and we will try to put it right quickly.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can also bring a claim in the Scottish courts, and if you live in Northern Ireland, in the Northern Irish courts. You keep any protection the consumer law of the part of the UK where you live gives you.
